If we click a task row on the outline panel, the task and clicked cell will be selected; if we click a task bar on Gantt chart, only the task will be selected. This touch bar will display only when a task be selected (no cell be selected).

We found that some users were in trouble to select a task on Gantt Chart – spending time to scroll the gantt chart to make the task bar be visible, then to select the task. We’d like suggest the users to watch the quick start if not get chance before.

  • Click on the task bar in Gantt Chart to select the clicked task (of cause) – now no cell be selected

And more comments

It’s flexible for us to maintain tasks on outline, Gantt chart and updating panel, with using mouse (gesture), trackpad, keyboard shortcuts and now touch bar. There is no limitation for us how to maintain the tasks.

To be more efficient, we have following practices to get task maintenance be very quickly and easily. Please pay attention, there are more methods for the operations, please don’t limit our operations with following.

  • Input all task names together, then to construct the tree structure

“↑” key or “e” key to select task above current selected task, “↓” key or “d” key to select task below current selected task

Change task outline level and sequence on touch bar (or on updating panel)

  • Edit same column together

Select a task and the cell in outline panel, then keyboard shortcuts to change task selection, and on touch bar (or updating panel) to change task property

Try not to move hand/mouse frequently by doing same operation. For example to one hand to move task selection, another hand on touch bar to change property (or another hand to move mouse on updating panel)

And again, select a task in Gantt Chart by double click if the task bar is not visible.
